Truth of the Holy Chimera is a Raid Event scheduled to start on October 1, 2024 at 8:00 PM (PST/PDT) and end on October 7, 2024 at 7:59 PM (PST/PDT). It is the two hundred fifth episode of the Dark Stigma story and hundred and third in the Malice Canon storyline.

Prologue[]
Even gods would commit misdeeds on occasion. Such offenders were held inside a divine prison in the furthest reaches of the sky. Predictably, their security measures were extremely strict. Multiple layers of seals isolated cells from the exits, and the convicts' holy powers were neutralized. For this reason, no one in history had successfully escaped... until Rodalion. When word of her feat spread, all throughout the Heavens were astonished.
Human by birth, she was granted godhood for her sublime beauty. This not only referred to her figure; her heart also was exceptionally pure and righteous. As for why she became a prisoner, the celestial records state thus:
"The goddess of beauty Rodalion was served by three loyal angels, yet their loyalty led them to fight over her affection. During the battle, intense hatred caused their souls to fuse together, giving rise to a massive creature known as the Chimerael. The gods confined that monster in the mortal realm, and Rodalion was sent to the heavenly prison as punishment for allowing the incident to escalate."
With her clear and noble spirit, she waited patiently in the depths of the prison regretting her faults and hoping for redemption. That chance had finally arrived, and she staged a daring breakout -- not to regain her own freedom but to release the Chimerael.
Although the downfall of the empire had brought some respite to Contratellus, vestiges of conflict persisted. Miasma drifted across war-torn lands, spawning monsters and other dark forces. The Hero's faction went where they were needed, but progress was marginal.
Rodalion apparently learned of this through the jailors. The monster she unwittingly created, with proper control, could push back the festering evil. However, it would likely obey none except her. These notions motivated her to flee, also leading to the discovery that measures to stifle the prisoners' holy powers held little sway over the resilient purity of her heart.
Harnessing the Chimerael's power would indeed benefit the world at large, yet that would never come to pass. It was an impossibility before Rodalion first thought of escaping. She did not know the cruel truth, including the actual reason for her imprisonment.
The higher gods, privy to such clandestine knowledge, had tasked you to stop her. Mounted on flying horses, you soared across the sky in pursuit. Your mission was not Rodalion's recapture but to prevent her from reuniting with the Chimarael. If she did, it would expose an ancient secret best kept hidden...
Epilogue[]
Rodalion evaded her pursuers and released the monstrous Chimerael. However, when you informed her of the concealed truth, she brought the creature to a halt.
"I never imagined that..." She whispered in a daze, like her consciousness had left her body. As the fact her imprisonment was simply part of a greater conspiracy set in, her fingertips began to tremble. The false allegations did not disturb her; rather, they put everything in perspective and revealed the depths of her indiscretion. Since she could neither accept the affection of her three servants nor stop their ambitions, they became the Chimarael as consequence.
Although the higher gods, desiring a powerful weapon against the demons, initiated the process, the angelic trio volunteered themselves to honor their beloved master. When it proved uncontrollable, those gods sealed it accordingly and placed the blame on Rodalion.
Fallacious though this was, she still felt implicated. She wished for peace in the world below, for the humans to be happy, for their tormentors to be eradicated. Her angels wished to achieve these. If she had not become a deity, she would not have servants. If she had not been so kind, they would not have done such a thing.
"There's only one way I can atone." No sooner had she spoken than she took your sword, chanted a sealing spell, and slid the edge along her neck...

Rodalion's glistening blood splattered across the Chimerael's body, activating the spell. It once more fell into a deep slumber, never to reawaken. Should the pitiful monster be released into the world, it would become a greater threat than demonkind. The gods feared she might use its power out of vengeance, but she laid those fears to rest.
The intents of divine providence were unknowable. However, as you returned to your journey, you understood that a deity of supreme compassion and angels who wished to sacrifice themselves for her were proof positive they would never surrender the battle against evil.
