Name Origin[]
The term therianthropy comes from the Greek word theríon, meaning "wild animal" or "beast", and anthrōpos, meaning "human being". In this way, therianthropy refers the the metamorphasis of humans into other animals.
Therianthropes are said to change forms via shapeshifting.
