Story[]

Epilogue[]
"Please, enough," Joier pleaded through her tears. The mental link with the slain monsters had brought her much suffering, giving rise to another emotion long forgotten.
"I see now that my father simply wished to protect our people." As she wept, her body vanished. The creatures and their mournful wails too slowly faded until peace returned to the snowy plains.
