Soluna had been fated to become a sacrifice. The source of Loftgygs' flotation was a special crystal that held the mystic power of levitation, but it required the life energy of a maiden. Whenever its power waned every few centuries, the titans would take an offering to be enclosed into it. Soluna had been trapped for hundreds of years. Although she did not age due to the properties of the mineral, there was nothing to alleviate the grief and homesickness she felt.
