When her god entered her slender frame, she would bestow blessings upon the world and become its savior. The shrine maiden Naina had always thought highly of this duty, even if had been placed upon her. Even when she heard that her soul would be put to rest, never to wake again, when the god came to claim her, she felt not even the slightest iota of fear. Her snow white heart held no trace of doubt. She could never believe the god she had been raised to worship was in fact born from darkness.
