Nanael, Life Flame Bearer

As her dear younger sister's life flame weakened, Nanael was gripped by fear. Having been orphaned upon their parents' deaths, the pair of young witches had only been able to survive by depending on the other. Nanael assumed they would be together forever, but one day the sister was struck by a fatal illness. As her mortality ebbed away, the prospect of being alone horrified Nanael. In a desperate bid to save her sister, she performed a forbidden ceremony to summon a demon and beg for his aid. With an atrocious grin, the demon trandferred the sister's life flame to an aged lantern.
