Toto has managed to acquire sorcery in a manner similar to the way that Dorothy acquired witchcraft from the Wizard of Oz. Normally a rather docile dog, when the land Oz plunges into a crisis and Dorothy is in trouble, Toto turns into a giant, fending off any enemies with immense power. He sees himself as Dorothy's best companion, taking much pride in looking out for her.
