Senseless wars, short lives, flawed wisdom. When Lilia had reached the age where she could see how full of imperfections her world truly was, she felt gravely disappointed. And she was also confident that if she found perfection, the aching feeling that weighed down on her core would give way to happiness, like storm clouds give way to a clear sky. Time and again she tried to create perfection by her own hand, but it eluded her. The snake biting its tail, the strife-ridden world: both creations were a far cry from the perfection she desired.

Lilia (Liliya) is Russian, Ukrainian and Bulgarian feminine name of Latin origin; the name of the flower, a symbol of purity. A cognate of Lily and Lilian; the word is ultimately derived from Latin lilium "lily". From Sanskrit translates as "play, amusement" as a variant of name Lila.
