Life-Seeking Kate

Lore[]

One day, Kate's master collapsed in the forest. Thinking he was merely asleep, Kate shook him by the shoulders to rouse him, yet his eyes did not open. He appeared to be in grave condition, so she decided to seek out Yggdrasil Blooms, rumored to have powerful healing properties. She would bring back as many of their life-giving petals as she could find to be reunited with her master.

It is also can be a short form of Katherine. Derived from Greek word katharos "pure", or Greek hekateros "each of the two"; yet another possible source is Greek aikia "torture". The name may also have come from Hecate, the name of the Greek goddess of magic, witchcraft, knowledge of herbs and poisonous plants, necromancy, and sorcery.
