Anger, hatred, sadness; any strong emotion within Jagra manifested as lightning, and such an unusual condition was not overlooked by unscrupulous researchers. They beat her, cut her, confined her, and inflicted agony upon her in any way they could devise to see the sparks fly from her body. Their thirst for knowledge intensified by the day, and at last, they killed her own mother before her eyes. That was the last trial they would ever conduct.

Name origin[]
In Hindu philosophy, Jagra is one of the four states of consciousness a man (or a being) can have; state of waking. It can be roughly translated as "wakefulness". It is that part of consciousness when a person or being can sense this physical universe. Other states of consciousness are swapna (discipline of dream, dreamwork and dreaming), susupti (deep sleep) and turiya ("the fourth", the experience of pure consciousness). Later commentators increased the states of consciousness from four to seven.
A dynamo is an electrical generator that produces direct current with the use of a commutator. Dynamos were the first electrical generators capable of delivering power for industry, and the foundation upon which many other later electric-power conversion devices were based, including the electric motor, the alternating-current alternator, and the rotary converter.
