Iona had been told countless times that her responsibility as a god was to guide the people, yet she chose to ignore it in favor of miring herself in battle. As she could not be reprimanded for idleness, the pantheon struggled to determine if she committed any wrong. After much deliberation, they commanded her to travel the world and spar with those weaker than herself. As she set out on her journey, she desired nothing more than to return to her standard training routine.

Name origin[]
Iona is a Scottish and English feminine name that is taken from the Scottish island of Iona. The derivation of this island name itself is uncertain. The earliest forms of the name enabled that the name originally meant something like "yew-place" or "yew-tree". Other suggestions offers an Old Norse origin from Hiōe meaning "island of the den of the brown bear", or simply "island", from Norse ey.
