Grato, a member of the Shadow King’s elite personal guard, spread his wings of fire and soared through the skies. The deadly hellfire he wielded possessed fearsome magic powers, capable of charring even the heavens. The Shadow King had given Grato a flame sword, but had also given one to Grato’s rival, Epseranza[sp]. The fact that the Shadow King seemed to favor Esperanza caused Grato’s sense of rivalry to burn even greater.
