Gloria, Spreading Joy

On any given year, Gloria receives loads of letters from children. "Dear Santa, where do you live?" Such innocent questions give her pause to think. She cannot divulge such an important secret, yet it is important to keep the dreams of children alive. She replies back with, "I live in the sky." Little does she know that some such children interpret such a response to mean that Santa is dead.

Name OriginEdit

Gloria is an English, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish feminine name of Latin origin. It is derived literally from the word gloria with the meaning "glory". The name was first borne by one of the characters in the George Bernard Shaw play "You Never Can Tell" (1889), and it was later adopted by English speakers in the early 20th century.
