Gert may be the warden, but he doesn't bother to keep surveillance on the guiltless prisoners of Tartas. Under Pain's orders, Gert was commanded to oversee the other jailers as well as Basilios and Nemes. He only ever declares that there's "nothing to report" during his rounds, as the prisoners never show signs of rebellion. At the moment, he does little more than sip quietly at bits of life force.
