Justice, taken to extremes, is indistinguishable from insanity. Garnardo was proof. Though he presumed himself a chivalrous thief, he would eviscerate his foes with such ferocity that he was often mistaken for a murderer. It was not uncommon for limbs to be severed in any confrontation which involved him. His brazen, cocksure attitude in slaying demons and ruffians gave him the reputation as nothing more than a madman.
