There was no shortage of people who wanted Hilzam dead. The mad magician was too dangerous to be left to his own devices. Yet Hilzam's power only continued to surge. Some aspiring mages wished to become the lofty sorcerer's apprentices, but he had no need for useless underlings. Hilzam hardly considered his actions "killing" anymore; he simpley directed his powers at any who approached.
