The settlement of a demon within the city had resulted in far too many possessed residents than the church could manage. The paladins dispatched to eliminate the menace were ineffectual and merely created fresh graves. As the clergy faced dwindling authority and faith, an acolyte known as Golyshev stepped forth. He approached a newly afflicted man and exorcised the evil spirit within the body, returning his sanity. Recognizing that his talents far outpaced his age, the diaconate granted Golyshev an immediate promotion.
