Elmenhilde, Time Waster

Elmenhilde was amazed by her own uncontainable desires. She exhibited outstanding results as a magic researcher, yet she continued to devote herself to acquiring spells believed to be worthless. As meaningless and unproductive as her efforts were, she could not bring herself to cease. From the time she had reached adulthood, she discovered that the most insignificant way of life was the easiest.

Name originEdit

Elmenhilde is probably a blend of two feminine names Elmena and Hilde. Elmena is a variant of Elmina of Old German origin, meaning "determined protector", derived from helm with the meanings "helmet, protection"; diminutive of Dutch, English, German, and Polish name Wilhelmina. Hilde is a German and Dutch variant of Hilda, has the meaning "ready for battle; battle woman; battle stronghold"; derived from Old German hild "battle".

There is a character named Elmenhilde Tepes, also known as Valerie, in the manga "Fairy Tail". She is a vampire and a wandering mage who travels the world in order to fulfill several duties that are only known to her; she has horns, tail and carries a spear.
