Elisis, a member of the magic organization and the combat forces, reported what she had found on her scouting mission to the mountains: She had found that locals had also transformed into demons, and that one demon who had taken the form of a pale woman was closely tied to the cause of the transformations. For now, she would call this woman the queen, and refer to the phenomenon as the demon-fume plaque. The speed at which the disease spread was unusual. At this rate, all humans across the entire continent would be infected inside of a year.
