When she had been poor and destitute, Duola became a fencer to earn her fortune. Her proficiency was exceptional, and as a result many came to recognize her achievements and hire her. Eventually she had earned enough to make it unnecessary for her to take up arms. However, when a rampaging dragon began wreaking havoc through the town and eating its people, she felt a strange urge to slay the beast. It was the resurgence of responsibility she had once felt as a warrior.
