Doomsday Djinn Marid

Lore[]

Three conditions have to be met to bring forth this mighty djinn. First is the sacrifice of six hundred and sixty six, second is the procurement of the Philosopher's Stone, and third is a vessel to be embodied by the fearsome Marid. However, while the first two conditions require a considerable effort to meet, the third is relatively automatic. Marid will simply possess the frame of the one who has summoned him, obliterating their soul in the process.

Name origin[]

Marid (Maryd) is a masculine name of Arabic origin; the meaning is "rebellious". Djinn in Arabic literally means "hidden from sight" and it derives from the root j-n-n meaning "to hide" or "be hidden".

Djinn or jinn (singular: jinnī, djinni, or genie; Arabic:‎ al-jinn, singular al-jinnī) are supernatural creatures in Islamic mythology as well as pre-Islamic Arabian mythology. They inhabit an unseen world in dimensions beyond the visible universe of humans. The djinn are made of a smokeless and "scorching fire", but are also physical in nature, being able to interfere physically with people and objects and likewise be acted upon. The djinn can be good, evil, or neutrally benevolent and hence have free will.
