Lore[]
Dolores did not desire power. On the other hand, she was not of a bent stoic enough to deny what was offered to her. She had lived in that strange castle eve since the witch promised to confer a dark strength upon her. She sat surrounded by a multitude of artifacts as the sorceress on again prepared the daily ritual. As she poured the sweet liquid down her throat, Dolores could only wonder if it would truly bestow upon her the power she was promised.

Name origin[]
Dolores is an English, German, and Spanish feminine name. It is derived literally from the Spanish word dolor meaning "sorrow, grief, pain", plural dolores "sorrows". In Spanish, where the name originated and is more prevalent, it is short for La Virgen María de los Dolores, "Virgin Mary of Sorrows", and is often shortened to the more colloquial forms Lola, Lolita or Loli.
