Though it was too late to do anything about it, Cobalt was tortured with regret at what he now knew had been a mistake. There was a "Ring of Wisdom" that had been created in ancient times by a great sorcerer. The ring had been sealed away in another world. The treasured ring was said to grant its bearer overwhelming power beyond what anyone else could hope to muster. Seeking the ring, Cobalt passed through the gate and entered the other world. He was nearly crushed by the horde that inhabited the realm.
