Reaper

A reaper is a farming tool or person that reaps (cuts and gathers) crops at harvest, when they are ripe.

In English, Death is often given the name Grim Reaper and, from the 15th century onwards, came to be shown as a skeletal figure carrying a large scythe and clothed in a black cloak with a hood. In Jewish tradition, Death was referred to as the Angel of Death (Malach HaMavet) or the Angel of dark and light.
