Card allowance is the number of cards a player can hold in the deck.
Before 30th of August 2012, the number of cards to be held was depending on the number of cards in one player's gallery.

New Card Slot Limits[]
As of January 17, 2013, the number of cards slots now changed. The new system is now +1 card for every 5 levels until level 200, and then +1 card for 10 levels until level 300, and then every 5 levels again.
Players that have a higher maximum card allowance than what is listed above have been allowed to keep their current allowance. Presumably you will be allowed a higher maximum when you reach the criteria for the next increment of cards allowed.
