Byron knew he was not to enter the woods, for a beastly demon resided within. However, a furious mob of people had murdered his family as retribution for the crimes of a forebear, and were now searching for him. Having nowhere else to flee, he ran crying deep into the forest. Tears obscuring his eyes, he did not notice the massive shadow until he had entered its gentle embrace.
