On the holy night, a gruesome ritual was held in which a virgin was sacrificed. The girl was wrapped in red cloth and pricked with dozens of needles, causing her to scream in agony. An evil fiend stood before her. He stared at her grimly, and began to speak in a melancholic voice: "Soon you will be my bride."
