The goddess Hilde dwells within the Firedrake. She can control the blade as well as the volcanic activity of Mt. Vakk. However, the wielder of the Firedrake holds her will in their hands. This means that its bearer is the ruler of the volcano. When a just soul holds the sword, she will make certain that Mt. Vakk will never rage out of control.
