Lore[]
Barnett was abandoned by his parents when he was three. He was captured and sold into slavery when he was six. At age ten, he was forced to become a soldier and then held as a prisoner of war. Though he believed himself to be free when released after turning fifteen, he was charged with an unspeakable crime. The guards used him to work out their stress during his confinement. Finally, when he turned twenty years of age, a woman with pale grey skin approached the chained Barnett and whispered in his ear, "You are worthy to become the Hero of Darkness."
