Nilufar was referred to as an "aromatician." By distilling flowers, herbs, and other fragrant materials, she created perfumes and incense for a living. They possessed a wide variety of relaxing and therapeutic properties, and were sufficiently effective to be appraised as magical. That was more accurate than presumed, for she was the only surviving member of a small kingdom that was versed in the art of "hexense."
