Ares, the ruler of war, longed for battle. His heart barren. His wings dull. His armor creaks. To sate his hunger his foes must die; the war must carry on. His nature so brutal it defies the gods; any war he fights is rife with carnage and chaos. Son of Zeus and Hera

Ares is the Greek god of war. He is one of the Twelve Olympians. In Greek literature, he often represents the physical or violent and untamed aspect of war. Ares mean "bane, ruin, curse, imprecation".
