Andromeda

Lore

Even the heavy chains that bind her cannot compare to the weight of sadness she feels at being sacrificed to a monster due to the foolish arrogance of her brethren and people. Pitiful though she may be, Andromeda accepts her fate dutifully as a princess.

Name Origin

In Greek mythology, due to her mother(Cassiopeia)'s incessant bragging, Andromeda was chained to a rock to be sacrificed to a sea monster as divine punishment. She was, however, saved by Perseus. Her name is Latinized from the Greek word for "ruler of man" ("andro" meaning "man", "medon" meaning "ruler").
