Agapios REG

Lore[]

As god of the arts, Agapios would spend each day reading literature, composing poetry, and singing ballads. And amongst the pantheon, he had the largest harem. Though indolent to the extreme, women could not help but fall in love with him. This was not due to his dashing appearance nor impassioned voice, but because he was the "ideal man."

Name origin[]

Agapios is a masculine name of Old Greek origin; the meaning is "beloved, loving, kindness, charity". It is derived from the element agape meaning "love", esp. "brotherly love, charity; the love of God for man and of man for God". This was the name of a saint from Caesarea who was martyred during the persecutions of the Roman emperor Diocletian. Agapito is a Spanish variant; Agape (English and Greek) is the female equivalent.
