Runandy realized something was amiss moments before the richly colored birds took flight from the oasis. The water grew stagnant and began to ripple as if alive. Taking action, she plucked a number of feathers from herself and chanted a spell taught among the sandwings. The feathers shot into the sky in a burst of magic, warning her friend of danger. "Sur-Yun, I need your help." Her glaring eyes held the unrelenting heat of the desert as her long-dormant power awoke.
