Ditellius believes he is not fit to be a doctor should he allow a life to pass before his eyes. Therefore, he is also trained in the art of combat, prepared to brandish his enormous scalpel at a moment's notice should roving bandits terrorize the town. Yet he only uses his highly refined techniques to save and defend, and even the most bloodthirsty ruffian is no more than an ailing patient in his eyes.
