(Succor) Angrboða, Motherly Jötunn

Lore[]

Angrboða does not concern herself with the virtue of her actions, only valuing the wellbeing of her husband and children. Whether they be a snake whose fangs carry god-killing poison, or a monarch of the underworld, or a ravenous lupine, it is irrelevant; she will protect them with all of her heart. Any who bring harm her loved ones will know the terror of a matriarch's wrath.

Acquisition[]

Name origin[]

In Norse mythology, Angrboða (Old Norse "the one who brings grief" or "she-who-offers-sorrow") is a female jötunn (giantess) from Jötunheimr, one of the Nine Worlds. Angrboða is mentioned only as the mother of Loki's children: Fenrir (a monstrous wolf), Jörmungandr (the Midgard Serpent, a sea serpent) and Hel (the female figure associated with and the guardian of the underworld known as either Hel or Helheim).
