Lore[]
The young girl stood alone in the streets of the frigid town. She braved the conditions to sell her matches, but the bustle of the holiday season meant no one stopped to buy any. She worried what would become of her, as her belly was already empty and her legs were already unsteady. Chilled to the core, she absentmindedly lit one of her wares. The warmth of the flame helped her recover enough sense to notice its shape was unusual.
