Though Elenoa found shelter from the storm, the intense chill from the blizzard numbed her arms and legs. She shrugged it off despite concern from her fox companion, saying that she would be fine when spring came. But before long, she did not stir at all. The fox stayed by her side and cried for three straight days. Yet on the morning of the fourth day, something strange happened. Elenoa transformed, spreading her black wings like a butterfly emerging from its cocoon. Her true identity was queen of the fairies.
