To his troops, it was as if he had assumed the departed king's staunch determination. Each stroke of Ricard's sword exemplified this. He knew there was no turning back, for he was the last hope of the kingdom.

Richard was borne by three kings of England including Richard I (1157–1199), a central Christian leader of the Third Crusade in the 12th century, also known as Richard the Lionheart for his reputation as a great military leader and warrior.
