Woden or Wodan (Old English: Ƿōden, Old High German: Wôdan, Old Saxon: Uuôden) is a major deity ofAnglo-Saxon and Continental Germanic polytheism. Together with his Norse counterpart Odin, Woden represents a development of the Proto-Germanic god Wōdanaz.
