Successive wars laid waste to every civilization in the world and pushed the planet itself to the brink of death. The glorious floating city too had crashed back to the surface in dramatic spectacle. As a final resort, the leaders of the globe called upon a pure-hearted warrior to summon the goddess Norn. She was their last hope but would only appear before the courageous and blameless. "If you are willing to stake your life, I shall turn back time so this destiny may be averted."
