(Remnant) Convalescing Cinderella

Lore[]

Deep in the forest, residents who fear the giant seek the aid of their “queen,” Cinderella. Though yet to be crowned, her golden shoes sufficiently prove her royalty. Persuading herself that the magic had not faded entirely, she overcomes her own weakness to become the leader they desire and rise up against the giant.

Name origin[]

Cinderella, or The Little Glass Slipper (French: Cendrillon, ou La petite Pantoufle de Verre, Italian: Cenerentola, German: Aschenputtel), is a European folk tale embodying a myth-element of unjust oppression and triumphant reward. Written versions were published by Giambattista Basile in his "Pentamerone" (1634), in Histoires ou contes du temps passé published by Charles Perrault in 1697, and by the Brothers Grimm in their folk tale collection Grimms' Fairy Tales. The name derived from cinder, as if "little cinder girl".
