Lore[]
Each day the ritual was performed, and each day Dolores drank a glass of the mysterious blue serum, always believing that in time it would bestow strength upon her. In those times not of ritual, the witch allowed her to live as she chose, and so the girl continued to pass her days believing there were likely few lives as carefree as her own. Inside, however, the sorceress held wicked thoughts. Soon the offering of power would be complete. The dark one's imagination ran wild as she thought about what powerful fiends would soon be at her command.

Name origin[]
Dolores is an English, German, and Spanish feminine name. It is derived literally from the Spanish word dolor meaning "sorrow, grief, pain", plural dolores "sorrows". In Spanish, where the name originated and is more prevalent, it is short for La Virgen María de los Dolores, "Virgin Mary of Sorrows", and is often shortened to the more colloquial forms Lola, Lolita or Loli.
