Lore[]
Griselda was most proud of her first original technique, taking the shadows of humans and granting them form. Additionally, it had many practical uses, and the resulting creations held as much strength as their sources. Able to build an entire army singlehandedly, her peers began to worry if perhaps she now held too much power.

Name origin[]
Griselda is a feminine given name used in the English, Italian, Spanish, and Germanic languages. It has been suggested that the name may originate from Germanic "gris hild", meaning "grey battle, dark battle" or "grey maiden warrior", with elements gris "grey" and hild "battle, fight". However, some believe that the name came from the ancient Germanic word gries, meaning "gravel" or "stone". The name was popular in the Middle Ages. It was known from "Patient Griselda", the patient and obedient wife in the tales told by Petrarch, Boccaccio and Chaucer.
