(Passive Sophos) Diogenes the Cynic

Perhaps in a twist of irony, fate dictated that Diogenes be captured by slave traders and sold as mere merchandise. Her doctrine refused to let her become despondent, however, and she espoused it wherever she was. Even in a new land, her intelligence was evident and she soon became the prince's tutor. He was infatuated with her but feared she would not stay, so he begged her to become queen after taking the throne. "Yes, if the whims of destiny will provide."
