Before the sacred ritual, Emily purifies herself with water from the holy spring and, baring herself before the divine light, rids her body of all uncleanliness. After several days of purification rites, she emerges completely unblemished, not a single stain on her body or soul. This ceremony fills the Heavens with countless newborn stars, bringing light everlasting to every corner of the universe. And in order that this light never fade, Emily performs the ritual each year without fail.
