The vampire Count Alfred needed to be killed in order to break his "Imperishable Night" spell. Liesel was all too aware that she lacked the power to do so, yet she knew there was an important role she must carry out. She amplified the moonlight's magical properties to their utmost limit. As the moonlight shone down on the world, it guided many, good and evil alike, to the source of the calamity. She continued to pray that someone would rise and defeat the Count.
