Name origin[]
Raphael is the name of an archangel in the Abrahamic religions. In Christianity and Judaism, Raphael is known to perform acts of healing. In Islam, Raphael is equated with the angel Israfel. His name comes from the Hebrew רָפָאֵל meaning "It is God who heals", "God heals", or "God, please heal".
