The light of order that shined upon the world fascinated and delighted Mariangeles. She journeyed far and wide to bear witness to all of its manifestations. What kinds of kindness were there? What levels of love were there? But in her wicked hands, it would all fall to ruin. Compassion would rot into cruelty, love would be twisted into hatred, and darkness and chaos would befall the world. When Mariangeles envisaged that calamity in her mind, her enchantment with the world grew ever stronger.
