Face divine wrath! The people adored Derleth, but one ruler feared his fame. He rode with his army to destroy the chapel he was visiting and slaughter everyone inside. Yet Derleth had been forewarned and soon before the doors in patient defiance. When the sound of hoofbeats and yelling reached his ears, he opened his eyes. They shone with a holy light and massive tentacles appeared behind him. The soldiers' attacks were ineffective against them as they and their king were crushed, leaving nothing but a mountain of bloody detritus.
